Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Appears on the "Dr. Phil" Show to Help a Guest Navigate Treatment Options 29 Dec 2014
Approximately 100 million Americans live with chronic pain, but there's no single solution for everyone – or even for the same person each day. On the Dec. 18 episode of the syndicated talk show, Dr. Phil and Freda sat down with arthritis sufferer Mary to explore methods for treating chronic pain.
"Chronic pain is very common and very complex," said Freda. "There isn't going to be one solution that works for everyone. Different types of pain respond to certain medications, so having a treatment team can help you pick the medication that's appropriate to your types of pain. Then you would set a dosage and a period of time that you can really see if that medication is working, and what the challenges might be, and then change it as necessary."
