Consumers vote adult vitamin chew the best health and beauty product of 2013.
The first-of-its-kind adult vitamin chew, Centrum Flavor Burst, was listed among the best new products for 2013 in Better Homes and Gardens magazine. The list, published annually, is determined by a group of consumers who try to vote on products. It has a reputation as one of the most credible, unbiased consumer-voted awards programs in the United States.
More than 77,000 American consumers took part in the independent nationwide survey to select their favorite new products in three categories: beauty, food, and beverage; health and personal care; and household products. Centrum Flavor Burst won in the health and personal care category as the best new dietary supplement based on its product appeal and consumer intent to re-purchase.
“This award helps differentiate us from other products in the market,” explained Kaitlin O’Brien, Product Manager, Dietary Supplements, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. “It is, in a sense, a public recommendation from one consumer to another to try it for himself or herself. Because the award is consumer-voted, there is a level of credibility and trust to the endorsement.”
“Since 90 percent of consumers trust recommendations from people they know, being voted the ‘best’ by consumers not only highlights the positive impression we’ve made on consumers to date, it also contributes to purchase loyalty and attitudinal loyalty,” said Diedre Ayers, Senior Manager, Brand Communications, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. “This type of endorsement is invaluable and we’re thrilled that Centrum Flavor Burst won the category.”
Centrum Flavor Burst launched last fall in the U.S. and is already doing well in the marketplace, with nearly a million bottles sold.
