Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer appears on “The Doctors” to discuss the risk factors of high cholesterol.
Millions of Americans have cholesterol counts high enough to increase their risk of heart disease or stroke. High cholesterol can be caused by many factors – and it can even be inherited.
On the Feb. 26 episode of “The Doctors,” Freda discussed why it’s important for people to know their cholesterol levels for a segment titled “Healthy Heart Tip – Keep Your Cholesterol in Check”.
“High cholesterol, no matter the cause, doesn’t usually have symptoms,” said Freda, “so the only way that you can really know that you’re at risk is to be tested, to know your number, and to know what that number means to you.”
