There are tons of great ways that you can enjoy your retirement! A world of activities awaits you to keep active, stay social, and have fun! This month, we are focusing on Volunteering.
Volunteering is an excellent way to give back to your local community, be involved with causes you care about, and help other people that may be less fortunate than yourself. When volunteering you also work on your personal growth, develop new skills, and make friends. It also feels good to give back! Volunteer work can range from just about anything whether it’s working a job or doing some community service, the opportunities are everywhere.
Here are some examples of ways you can get involved in Volunteer work:
Volunteer at a soup kitchen or homeless shelter
Partner with a local parks department for clean up, gardening, or other programs
Be a tutor or mentor to someone else
Participate in a Boys and Girls club
Volunteer at a museum
Build homes with organizations like Habitat for Humanities
