There are tons of great ways that you can enjoy your retirement! A world of activities awaits you to keep active, stay social, and have fun! This month, we are focusing on Spring Cleaning.
Spring is the season of new beginnings and fresh starts! What better way to start a new season than an “out with the old and in with the new!” Did you know that Spring cleaning has psychological benefits? In fact, you increase your happiness and decrease your stress by throwing away some old stuff, cleaning the house, and even getting some new things.
Reducing Clutter Minimizes Stress
Clutter causes stress and creates an environment associated with laziness, disorganization, or unproductivity. Organizing your work area or rooms in your home boosts your sense of productivity and can even make you more productive.
Cleaning Improves Health
Cleaning those dusty areas and wiping down surfaces helps reduce the risk of getting sick and helps alleviate allergy symptoms. Your space won’t only look better but you will also feel better!
Donating Unwanted Items Feels Good
Turn your spring cleaning into an opportunity to help someone out. Maybe it’s time to let go of some things that you don’t find yourself using. There are a number of places you can send unwanted items such as clothes, books, furniture, and any other items you may come across. You may not realize it, but some of the things you may not need could be a huge help to someone else. Giving also feels good so use your spring cleaning as an opportunity
